In the light of the proposed meet at Copenhagen on Climate Change Summit in December 2009, Bureaucracy Today is set to bring Indian faith leaders together to speak on Climate Change, a subject of global concern.
Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati, Kanchi Peeth and Moulana Umair A Ilyasi, president, All India Imams Organisation shall jointly demonstrate with reference to ancient scriptures, as to what faith communities can do to lessen their carbon footprint on the planet.

They believe to protect nature, it is not enough to intervene with economic incentives or deterrents. These are important steps nevertheless, but the decisive issue is the overall moral tenor of society.

Shankaracharya and Moulana who have a huge following can create awareness by addressing climate change as they believe that science exists in religious scriptures too and they need to save the earth by talking about cutting down on carbon emissions.
